第一段的写信目的按道理说，在题目的说明部分（Direction）会明确提到。但是按照写作部分的阅卷要求，这一部分的内容不能照抄。照抄后扣分，因此，今天给大家就这一部分进行整理，好好记：

写信目的：

I am writing this letter to do sth.

① 道歉信：I am writing this letter to express my sincere apology to you. 我写这封信是为了向你表达我真诚的歉意。

② 感谢信：I am writing to express my sincere appreciation/gratitude to you. 我写此信向你表达我真诚的感激之情。

③ 投诉信：I am writing to express my disappointment/dissatisfaction about... 我写信来表达我对……一事的不满。

④ 咨询信：I am writing to inquire whether... 我写信咨询是否可以……

⑤ 建议信：I am writing the letter to offer/propose some practical/helpful suggestions to you. 我写信给你一些有用的建议。

⑥ 邀请信：I am honored to invite you to... 能够邀请您……我倍感荣幸。

⑦ 辞职信：I am writing this letter to resign from my current position and make an apology for any inconvenience. 我写信辞职并对此表达歉意。

⑧ 求职信：I would like to apply for the position of ... in your company. 我很想申请你们公司的……职位。

⑨ 求学信：I am deeply interested in your graduate program in the department of ... and plan to apply for admission for the spring/fall semester. 我对贵校……系的研究生专业很感兴趣，希望能够申请春季/秋季入学。

⑩ 推荐信：It is a great pleasure to recommend ... as the right person/choice for your consideration. 很荣幸推荐……作为你考虑的最优人选/最佳选择。

⑪ 祝贺信：I am writing to extend my heartfelt congratulations on... 我写信对……表达真诚的祝贺。

⑫ 欢迎信：I am writing to you, on behalf of ... , to express heartfelt welcome to all of you. 我谨代表……致信向你们表示诚挚的欢迎。

⑬ 答复函：In response to your last letter, I am writing to inform you that... 作为对你上次信件的回复，我写此信通知你……。

⑭ 拒绝信：I am sorry to inform you that we are unable to offer you... 很抱歉地通知你，我们无法给你提供……

⑮ 倡议信：On behalf of ... , I am writing this letter to appeal to sb to do sth. 我代表……写信给大家以提出一些倡议。
