Nowadays, with the society becoming increasingly competitive, there is a discussion about which should be a top priority when an increasing number of people are pursuing personal success. From my perspective, there is no doubt in saying that knowledge will, directly or indirectly, bring a great influence on individuals’ all-round development.
So what are the reasons supporting my argument? The most important factor to be considered is that the overall personalty of one person depends much on his intellectual performance. There is no doubt that their accumulation of knowledge plays an indispensable role in leading to the phenomenon. In the second place, it is also of great importance to consider the fact that knowledge as the core competence cannot be ignored in the job markets. A host of intellectuals and entrepreneurs are living proof that the powerful weapon is part and parcel of their career development. In the last place, as a famous saying goes, one is never too old to learn. Thus, importance should be attached to the role played by the civilized social atmosphere where the lifelong pursuit of knowledge shall never fade away.
Based on what is mentioned above, a conclusion can be made: knowledge is fire, lighting the lamp of progress.
如今，随着社会的竞争日益激烈，在越来越多的人追求个人成功时，人们正在讨论哪些应该是头等大事。在我看来，知识将直接或间接地对个人的全面发展产生巨大影响，这是毫无疑问的。
那么支持我论点的原因是什么？需要考虑的最重要因素是一个人的整体素养在很大程度上取决于他的文化底蕴。毫无疑问，他们积累的知识在导致这一现象方面发挥着不可或缺的作用。第二，知识作为核心竞争力在就业市场的作用不容忽视，这一点也非常重要。知识分子和企业家是活例子：该强大的武器是他们职业发展的重要组成。最后，正如一句名言所说的，活到老，学到老。因此，应该重视文明社会氛围所发挥的作用，在这种氛围中，对知识的终身追求永远不会消失。
基于上述内容，可以得出一个结论：知识是火，照亮进步之灯。
